Mike Dickinson – Creative Director/Writer

A pure creative genius. Or so he’d have us believe. Mike created Naughty Corner Productions as part of his university course. It later developed into an external project, and quickly developed Naughty Corner with Jemma Lynch. Mike likes to ‘write shows that scare me’. The Bastard Queen set the tone, and the quality for future projects, as the play debuted at The Edinburgh Fringe 2014, and subsequently won  the National Student Drama Festivals Edinburgh Award. Mike chose his team on the basis that ‘the people I collaborate with are those I trust, and that their talents can bounce of my ideas to create a banging finished product’. As a company and play director, writer and general creative mind, Mike is working with the rest of the Naughty Corner team to ensure that all current and future projects are collaborative and successful productions.

Jemma Lynch – Production Manager/Writer/Actor

Jemma has been involved in numerous plays, musicals, scripted and devised productions over the past ten years or so. She has taken part in Across the Universe, ‘Widows’ by Ariel Dorfman, ‘Angels in America’ by Tony Kushner and ‘A Dybbuk’ by S. Ansky, Translated by Joachim Neugroschel/ Tony Kushner. She has additionally appeared in ‘A World Above’ which was a biographical account of all those involved with the vile crimes of ‘ the Moors Murderers’. and ‘Anchorman: The Legend on Stage’ taken from the DreamWorks cult classic. Jemma co-wrote ‘The Bastard Queen’ with Mike Dickinson (Creative director and co-founder of Naughty Corner), was originally as their dissertation; a post- apocalyptic comedy play which would take the audience through all manner of emotions. After a fantastic response from both students and tutors, the co-writers made plans to take the show further. Naughty Corner entered the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014 with new cast members. It had a fantastic run of a week at the Space UK venue the Niddry, where Naughty Corner and The Bastard Queen won The National Student Drama Festival award 2014 , alongside company ‘Lost Watch’, resulting in both companies performing at the London Pleasance January 2015.

Tom Silverton – Producer/ Promotions

Tom graduated from Edge Hill University with a degree in Creative Writing. He has since joined the Naughty Corner team and put his way with words to use, arranging festival and performance submission, organising media and working with Mike and Jemma on The Bastard Queen. He has a background in the music industry, both in magazines and record labels.

Rhiannon Jones – Assistant Production Manager

Having graduated from Edge Hill University with a BA Hons degree in Dance and Drama with Aerial Performance, Rhiannon has gone on to be a member of SuckItandSee Productions and performed in ‘They Shoot Dogs’ written by Sandra Philip. Performed at The Rose Theatre, (Edge Hill University), her strong performance garnered her much interest and is now pursuing roles in other productions. In addition to her acting, Rhiannon’s current role with Naughty Corner is in production, assisting Mike Dickinson with anything and everything.

Ste Yates – Set Designer

Currently in his final year of his BA Hons Fine Art degree at the Manchester School of Art, Ste is specializing in sculpture. He worked with Naughty Corner Productions on ‘The Bastard Queen’, designing the set and poster. Having won the NSDF Edinburgh Award, Ste also received commendation  for and Best Design. ‘I never saw set design as a route for my artistic practice but I am willing to build and create things for anything I’m interested enough in. I intend to work with NCP on further productions, some of which have already been discussed and the set build is already in planning stages. I enjoy working as part of Naughty Corner as we are a group of friends all determined to excel in our respective fields’.

Tom Lyth – Head Technician

Tom has been described as a ‘chocolate digestive’; savory on one side, and then a little surprise on the other, which makes your day so much better.
